Features
Design and documentation was required to upgrade the critical power systems in the DIGO Bendigo facility. Rudds undertook the design and performed the role of the Head Consultant to project manage of the overall job. Critical Power systems were installed including two new diesel generators, associated fuel storage, reticulation and pumping plus several UPS units and the associated switching and reticulation.
The project was made significantly more complex due to the sensitive nature of the facility and the need to maintain operations with the exception of two extremely short duration shut downs. An important consideration which must be highlighted is the highly developed teamwork which was absolutely essential allow this project to be a success. The importance of this teamwork cannot be overstated. The complexity and limitations imposed by working in such a secure and operational environment necessitated very close coordination and exceptionally competent contractors.
