In an ever-changing market, Rudds keep abreast of the latest technologies available, ensuring clients get the perfect audio visual design for their needs. Our AV specialists have designed everything from simple meeting rooms and video conferencing systems to advanced training facilities and state-of-the-art presentation theatres.
In 2009 Rudds expanded their area of practice to include specialisation in Audio Visual (AV) designs for new and existing buildings. This includes the design of meeting rooms, boardrooms, video conferencing systems, presentation theatres and many other areas requiring audio visual services.
Our design team has undertaken numerous training courses including training on Crestron, AMX and Extron products, as well as industry training from InfoComm. Rudds is a member of InfoComm, providing feedback to the industry association and attending round table meetings (for more information, visit the InfoComm website).
One of the first major AV design projects was 50 Marcus Clarke Street which incorporated the design of 96 rooms requiring AV Services. These rooms include meetings rooms with a single display, combinable meeting rooms, video conferencing rooms, breakout spaces, and large meeting rooms incorporating presentation displays and video conferencing.
Another major project was the new NATSEM International Microsimulation Centre at the University of Canberra. The design included an AV system for a new dual screen theatre for up to 250 people, a pair of combinable tutorial style teaching rooms and a conference room. All three spaces incorporated general audio visual presentation equipment as well as video conferencing.
Rudds have completed, a 200 seat teaching theatre, incorporating three displays and full sound reinforcement, for a Defence training base in Canberra. Rudds have completed the design for a network operations centre with video walls, large scale switching over fibre cabling and networked control systems.
The new Inspire centre at the University of Canberra is a teaching building for collaborative environments, requiring digital video and audio distribution across multiple rooms, flexible use multi-screen rooms, digital signage and an audio streaming (podcast) recording space.
From small breakout areas and meeting rooms, to video conferencing facilities, teaching environments or control rooms, Rudds can provide a design to meet the client’s audio visual requirements.
