The NATSEM International Microsimulation Centre provides many benefits to the University of Canberra. The building consists of 680m2 of office space, 467m2 of teaching space, 210m2 of accommodation, a large kitchen and the corresponding circulation space and amenities.
The Inspire Centre is a purpose built facility designed to advance the practice and research related to the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in education. With a large focus on ICT within the education profession the building required the latest in ICT and audio visual (AV) technology for the users.
The collaborative learning environments of this three-stream pre-school to year 6 primary school required a flexible electrical & mechanical design to allow teachers to facilitate an adaptable learning environment for students, whilst maintaining the performance levels expected of the targeted 5-Star Green Star rating.
