The new Rudds office in Fyshwick, combines a multitude of energy-saving technologies including BIPV (Building-Integrated Photo-Voltaics), BIST (Building-Integrated Solar Thermal), fully thermally-broken glazing, daylight harvesting and efficient LED lighting.

The building is set to be featured at the upcoming 9th Annual Green Buildings Conference in Pyrmont, Sydney, as a case study to be presented by Dr. Andreas Luzzi, director of LAROS Technologies.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Getting up to speed with facts & figures – Overview of building integrated photovoltaic and solar thermal technologies
  • Looking behind the curtain – How little it takes to implement a thermally-broken envelope with commercial buildings
  • Walking the talk with a champion partner – Presentation of techno-economic performance data from the Rudds Building
  • Managing opportunities – Providing better asset value, why shouldn’t solarised low-E buildings become the norm?
