As most of you would know, Rudds prides itself on providing high quality customer service and leading edge technologies. As part of our endeavours to maintain this quality, and in line with a customer base that wishes to streamline the consultant engagement process, we are pleased to announce that we have expanded our services to include acoustic engineering. To facilitate this, we are pleased to welcome Jerremy Lofts to our team. Jerremy is a senior acoustic consultant who is well known in the Canberra area for providing high quality services. Jerremy is a member of the Australian Acoustical Society and has detailed knowledge of acoustic and vibration engineering which extends over more than 10 years of consulting; including 5 years managing an acoustic consulting office here in Canberra. Jerremy worked for 5 years in Newcastle, where he primarily concentrated on environmental noise and vibration. This included monitoring, analysis, modelling and reporting for a large number of industrial and transport related projects such as coal mines, quarries, concrete and asphalt plants, power stations, rail and road corridors and construction activities. |
Architectural and building acoustics were also part of the Newcastle acoustic consulting environment, with Jerremy working on multi-storey apartment developments, commercial offices and educational institutions. Highlights included a TAFE recording studio and design for a high quality performing arts school hall. In 2005 Jerremy took the opportunity to move to Canberra to expand his specialisation in building and architectural acoustics and it is from this point that you may well have met Jerremy on one of the many projects he has had the opportunity to be part of. Projects have included many private and Government developments, commercial base buildings, office fitouts and refurbishments, schools, residential apartments, noise management plans and the like. Jerremy is well versed in environmental noise legislation, development codes and guidelines and has regularly provided design advice, construction inspections and certification of secure environments where speech privacy and protection of classified discussions are required. Jerremy’s capabilities will complement Rudds existing services, providing a strong, cohesive consulting team that concentrates on the most important aspect of any project – communication. |
