Andrew has extensive and relevant experience in mechanical building services design, documentation, coordination and construction supervision for both public works and private industry projects.
Andrew specialises in thinking ‘outside the square’ and in utilising current technologies and concepts to create cost effective, energy efficient indoor comfort control. To this end he has been instrumental in developing and designing highly efficient facilities using Active Chilled Beams, hydronic radiant heating and cooling, waste heat recovery and low supply air temperature high induction diffusion systems.
Projects of note include a New Data Centre for Defence in Canberra, the new Canberra International Airport Terminal, 50 Marcus Clarke Street headquarters for DEEWR and the new ACT Emergency Services Headquarters, maintenance workshops and training facilities.
Other office projects include various new office buildings within the Brindabella, Majura and Fairbairn Business Parks and there associated fitouts and various refurbishments for Defence and the AFP.
Educational projects include Namagi, Kingsford Smith, Bonner and Burgmann Schools and ACT Youth Detention Centre.
